Hotel Ibis Frankfurt City Messe

The area was a convention/business neighborhood, no shops and a few expensive restaurants. But just catch the tram across the street from the hotel and you are in the center in no time.

The service left us a lot to be desired. We had a coupon for a free night at the hotel but wanted to book a second night. We called and booked it. 3 days before the reservation I called to confirm. No record of the transaction. I booked the room again by telephone. Called the day before to confirm. No record of the transaction. I then booked it on the Internet using Booking. That worked. When we arrived the desk vrouw was in a telephone conversation. We waited. 10 minutes we waited. We explained the situation about the double-booking and could we keep the same room for the whole time. No problem. The second morning the key did not open the door because it was assigned only one night....

We're pretty sure that this sort of chain of bad luck events occurs infrequently which is why we still recommend the hotel but this was our bizarre experience with their service.

Delicious buffet breakfast with dishes from around the globe - that didn't disappoint. The restaurant is bright and cheery in the morning with lots of light.

Room was compact but practical. Same with the bathroom. Our window faced the autobahn but the noise barely registered. Everything clean.
