The Nottingham Ibis is situated in the heart of the city of Nottingham, right next to the party mile. As you would expect from Ibis it is clean and functional, with no frills. The hotel has a 24 -hour gastronomy. Parking is not available. Opposite of the hotel has a garage relatively inexpensive (cf. advise). During the week, it used by business travelers and tourists. At the weekend due to the low price and the ideal location the hen & gesellinnenabschiede a, for the Nottingham is famous. We expected the worst. It was very noisy in the evening, but only if the individual groups getting ready to los. At night it was fine. We didn't notice any loud room parties.

In the middle of the city within walking distance of restaurants, pubs, bars and shops. Right next to the Ibis is a Tesco Express that makes you to almost midnight with the essentials. A parking garage is just across the street (see tips) and easy to reach by car. The tram stops in front of the hotel. The train station or "market place" are both a bus stop to the Royal Theater and corner house 2 - but you could also to walk to everything. The bus from the airport (EMA) ends bus station in Broadmarsh shopping center, about a 5-10 minute walk from the hotel. Tourist attractions like the Nottingham Castle or the Galleries of Justice are within walking distance. Despite the central location it was in the rooms as regards the outside noise surprisingly quiet.

The mainly Eastern European staff was very friendly. We had no problems, so we couldn't test the handling of complaints. Only Repeated questions about the room number at breakfast and the penetrante NOTE that this our rate is not included, has annoyed.

We only ate breakfast for $6.95 per person. Noisy web presence Ibis only continental breakfast. So we wanted originally in one of the many cafes for breakfast. On arrival realized there was "cooked+b" as much as you want. This consists of scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon (bacon) and beans (baked beans). In addition there is bread, bread rolls, muffins and other pastries, fruit, yogurt and Joghurtdrink, jam, Nutella, orange and a juice, coffee, tea, milk, granola, etc. .. As it was my objective, a real English breakfast with as much as possible to sausage and bacon dinners and until unworkable for dinner, the offer was just right. I missed Industrierührei only fried eggs instead.

Sport & Entertainment not available

For 5 GBP per day then it will be a full-service fitness club. We didn't bother.

The rooms are not too big but enough for a city break that makes you did not stay long in the room anyway. We had twin room. The beds were also for me with 1.90 adequate. The wet room is a typical Ibis Kunststoffzelle and so easy to clean. Only the drain had by special power glazing. Our room (219 ) we unfortunately right on a wall. Room with higher odd-numbered rooms have a nice view of the city with Nottingham Castle in the background. The only thing I didn't find a hair dryer.

Tips and recommendations

Nottingham is especially in the summer months a party place. If you like partying and clubs and bars should placid atmosphere at the weekend. If you want quiet rather during the week. For both the Ibis is based on the ideal location and reasonable value for money. As a result, they make the prices higher than on the weekend during the week. At our prepaid rates can be worth your reservation to week and weekend split. There are no problems. If you arrive by car can Flatcher Gate parking across the street in the garage. The entrance is on a side street. The parking garage has an attractive nightly rate on (4 GBP) if you are between 16 and 21 hours before 9 o'clock at the elevation and flashes Folgetages again. It takes just after 9 the full charges for 9-midnight (16 lbs) prepayment required at time of booking. So it's worth before breakfast before 9am and out in the car and taking the charges for to 2h (2.80 GBP 6.80 so overall instead of 16 to pay. Free car parking as good as no.
