Hotel Ideal Paris Porte d'Orleans

Hi all, just returned from a 5 day stay with my wife and son (13) in this fantastic hotel right by Porte D'orleans.
Easy travel from Roissy CDG Airport (30 mins @ Eur 8. 5 per person).
And easy access to the touristy bits of Paris all within 20 mins via the metro, line 4 Clignancourt-Orleans.
There is also handy bus and tram directly outside the hotel front door.
Hotel, much as the name suggests is IDEAL. Well, it was for us. We had read mixed reviews before we went, but correctly we assumed that as most moaners were yanks, there would be nothing wrong with the hotel. we were spot on.
I can only offer ONE NEGATIVE comment, and that is the TVs have the volume restricted to level 10, meaning on some channels (BBC) you CANNOT hear the tv.
So, as of August 2009, this place gets the Murray Family recommendation!! It's not posh! No fancy outdoor restaurant! You cannot see any tourist attractions from your room. The food portions are EUROPEAN, not YANK SIZED!
There are numerous good quality restaurants very close by, and a stunning patisserie next door!!!!
A lazy day could be get a little picnic together, and when leaving the hotel, take a left, walk for 10 mins and sit under a tree in Parc Montsouris - stunning!!
SUMMARY: - We think this place is great, then again we ain't yanks
