Historic hotel in Detroit *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe hotel consists of 4 individual restored Victorian houses. It belongs to the "Historic Hotels of America". The houses are lovingly restored and decorated. It is built on small to detail. You feel like you are transported to an earlier time. Every house offers single rooms as well as very well made Allgemeinräume (booths, living room).
Location
The hotel is not far from the city center downtown Detroit. Just around the corner is the "Institute of Arts" and the "Museum of African American History".
The hotel has a 24 hour room service. All are pleasant, and try to fulfill all wishes. The rooms were cleaned every day to our complete satisfaction. The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle service to the town center and a radius of 5 miles. Just before you call to the front desk and the driver.
Gastronomy
The hotel provides a breakfast including in the main building. It was for American standards, a very good breakfast. Fresh fruit, fresh waffles, coffees and cakes, bread, yogurt, etc. It is not a German breakfast, as we are used to, but we didn't go on our trip the breakfast was one of the best. Everything was clean and was always enough refilled. We always had breakfast later and have got everything.
Sport & Entertainment Unused
Room
We had a very nice, cozy room in the old style. A nice clean bathroom, a small built-in closet, a small area with antique desk and chair, there is a coffee maker with complimentary coffee and tea are available. We had a queen-size bed, which perfectly for the two of us was enough. The TV was in an old closet was safely stored for the whole ambience was appropriate. We were in the room.
