Hotel 5 stars - amazing view *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AGreat hotel the 5 -star category; 33 floors, the upper are reserved for the club rooms, at the top is the associated Club Lounge. Business and leisure guests of all ages Annually; indeed some celebrities (in our case was just Roger Moore inside). The hotel was built around the old Treasury Building; this created for example. An original lobby bar.
Location
3 Minutes walk to the Cirqular Quai, from where all ferries with ease and plenty of restaurants. 5 Minutes to the "The Rocks", for strolling and also with lots of restaurants. To all the shopping malls 10-15 minutes. To the airport about 30 minutes and 40-45 AUD (currently around 23 Euro).
Easy check in, friendly and competent service. A 5 -star hotel adequate.

We had booked a club room; so is the breakfast in the lounge including, as well as the afternoon tea and evening appetizers alcohol. Non-alcoholic drinks are free all day. The breakfast is pretty "American" style, so lots of eggs and - especially - lots of sweets like muffins, donuts, banana cake. A bit of cheese, little sausage. For dinner we tried twice the restaurant Opera, where there are evening buffet (61 AUD, about 32 euro) or alternatively a la carte. The food is pretty good, even when not outstanding; but not very cheap. Very good dessert buffet (with bread/and butter pudding !! ).

Room
We had booked a club room and were on the 29th floor. The room itself differ to a "normal" room was not the level of equipment; the important difference is the access to the lounge in the 33 . Floor. This lounge is just FANTASTIC!! It has a great view of Opera House and Harbourbridge and on the circular Quai the cruise ship terminal, and the adjoining booked. There is an outdoor terrace (U. As well as a good opportunity for smokers; -)). Nice concierge service. In addition in the evening Clubzimmern again the "turn down" service; so beds breaking, towels and Showergels etc. Fill up to the bed, down comforter, etc. The rooms themselves are five star standard (not huge, but enough), nice bathroom, everything was very clean and neat.
Tips and recommendations
Save yourself the charge for a standard room with Opera- or Harbourbridge-view - better book a club room with Cityview. There you can not only breakfast, afternoon tea and evening snacks including but also the overall view in the lounge. It adds up definitely.
