Simply a super holiday! *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AWe were absolutely surprised by the large rooms furnished in the traditional style of the country, as well as the huge bathroom with shower and bathtub. Just great!
The food is delicious and there was a huge selection ranging from local to European food. The prices for food and drinks in the hotel are expensive in relation to the places "right around the corner". It is therefore in any case worthwhile to eat in the nearby places or go there for an evening drink. If you want to meet people, you will find nice conversant people in the bars and even some Germans who have stranded in Negombo.
Negombo is wonderful for a seaside vacation. If you want to explore Sri Lanka, and get to know the culture, the sights, you should include an excursion of at least two days or look for an accommodation in the middle of Sri Lanka.
Sri Lanka is not a big island, but the roads are not very good, so that a distance of about 150 kilometer takes you about four hours.
It was a great holiday and certainly not our last here!
