The hotel kasteel wurfeld is surrounded by a park. To the town of Maaseik there are tight fifteen minutes by bike. Cyclists are fully at their own expense, since there are many good trails described moving in a beautiful landscape are available. A trip by bike along the banks of the Meuse to Thorn on the Belgian side is strongly recommended, on the Dutch side has often you have to deal with the traffic. The food at this hotel is very good, the wines are however reasonably priced coated. Our room was under the roof and was comfortably equipped. The lady at the front desk was very friendly and accommodating.
