Hotel Kastel

We spent our 4th time staying at this hotel, the first time stay longer than 3 days and with half board. The location is great, literally right on the beach, romantic setting. Staff very friendly and helpful. Dinner (buffet) very ok, there is something for everyone. In terms of some "knockers" in the rating to react: It is true that the hotel does not have balconies (see but from the outside). There is unfortunately only very few parking directly at the hotel. It is a historic building, formerly a monastery, later a Children's Home and later been converted into a hotel. It is located on the outskirts of the center, a certain noise level so you have to expect, but also short ways to the city. What do actually people for e.g. only € 46 .- per night per person in the last week in high season a 3 star hotel? This price is rather cheap. If someone would be afraid to dinner "too little selection" should you are better off room/breakfast and dinner itself "buy". Very fast will realize that you don't get the money they charge as half board at the hotel stays, somewhere else don't get anything. The cleanliness of the room was alright, the public areas are very clean. Guests: mostly Austrian and German, some Croats, Italian, Dutch, also Swiss.
