Shame about The Kempinksi Barbaros Bay

Last year we booked a de luxe room. All the de luxe rooms do have  a  spectacular  view
Arriving in the hotel, we were giving room 1514.  This room   faced  the alley, a narrow view, like the superior rooms ( this room,  1514,  was at the back/behind).The view of this room was very  disappointed.
We refushed this room, and asked if we could change, but all the de  luxe rooms were  fully booked.
The lady of the reception told us, that the only option was a junior  suite .
We had to pay for the junior suite !! because all the de luxe rooms  were fully booked. !!!! We had to pay 700 euro’s more ( for one week)
I  tried to contact the general manager, but the reception told me,  that to make a appointment  with the general manager  was not  possible.

It is not usual, that the clients had to pay for a upgrade, when the  booked room, de luxe room, is not available.
After the holiday I wrote an email to the manager, and the manager offered us an upgrade to a Junior Suite on our next  stay .

Unfortunately the general was not anymore in the Kempinski Hotel  ( he left for Cairo).
He informed a lot staff members of this email.

One month ago I wrote an email to the new manager. We would like to  make a reservation for a room ( de luxe) for one week in june ( and  receive the upgrade to the junior suite  - promised by the last  general manager).
The new manager,  told me, I am sorry, you have to book a more  expensive room, and maybe it is possible to give you a junior suite,  ridiculous.
I made an appoitment with the general manager,  last year.
The new manager don’t want to confirm this appointment.
Don’t accept to pay so much money more, if the hotel is fully booked.
It is the problem of the hotel, not the problem of the guests.
