Nice holiday *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe hotel is situated at the edge of Chersonissos - however is a supermarket nearby. The often described as very good food was good for in my opinion, but not more. The meat was rather dry, the food is hardly seasoned. The tzatziki almost without garlic. Tasty were the freshly baked pancakes in the morning. Our bungalow was nice and clean (except for a Kellerasselfamilie) more of a 3 star hotel. We had a small terrace plus a Gärtchen. Through the hedge was the sea ( a seaview) but hardly visible. The air conditioning is very noisy at night, but reliable chilled. There is a small TV with Ard, ZDF, Sat1, RTL and various. Greek channels. The dining room is nice - there you had a beautiful view of the ocean. The path to the beach went downhill about treppchen and paths about 500 meters through the bungalow area and by a about 1.50 meters high underpass. Beware of the pedestrian paths along the beach, often quads and cars. You could choose between two beaches. We found Alekos's slightly smaller beach ( Beach Garden) is selected. He ar this time of year not crowded still. The beach is clean, the sea was nice ( now in the last couple of days but very high waves, on the first day the room didn't). Above are two taverns. The Tavernenbesitzer and the guy on the beach also look after the swimmers always in the water and pipes in case of emergency ( at very high waves or too far outside) swimmers. One deals with the beach chairs and umbrellas arranged and cleaned the beach. 6 Euro for two beach chairs plus umbrella was really okay. We had own umbrella whom he liked sunk in safe for us in the sand. As an excursion we over Neckermann the jeep tour - highly recommended. If you like to bad but in the car, please take something against nausea. You go into a column of several jeeps through the country and see the landscape ( also Lassithi level). It is easy to get through a small village to spend some about Crete and the locals. Lunch was a grill. The drive is dusty ( no white things anziehn * g * ) and bumpy but great! 4 Guests per jeep fit in - a must/ should go. The trip was definately worth it. All in all, it was a very enjoyable and relaxing holiday. In the town are especially Dutch, British and German tourists. In the beach section Star Beach is always something going on - especially for young dutch ... But you have that in our hotel relatively little noticed.
