Very basic accommodation
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A ARooms were small and had obviously been re-modelled to include an en-suite toilet and bathroom. This reduced the overall useful size of the rest of the room. Our double room consisted of 2 single beds with just enough room to stand between them. Heating was good. No refrigerator, no hair dryer, no iron, although the last 2 could be obtained from Reception. Breakfast was included.
Offstreet parking available alongside
Location
Very close to the centre of Chelm, and almost alongside the Basilica parlkand. On the main road from The Ukraine. Strong smell of diesel in the air. Minimal shopping facilities.
Staff were very friendly, but very few spoke English. Rooms were cleaned regularly.
Gastronomy
Breakfast served in a communal area. Buffet and a few hot dishes. A good variety and quantity
Sport & Entertainment
No leisure activities, no TV. Internet access available (cable, very slow - around dial-up modem speeds). No pool
Room
The hotel has obviously been renovated recently. Rooms, as mentioned, were small and dominated by the new ensuite. The overall building was very impressive but lacking amenities.
Tips and recommendations
Mobile phone access available. Phones in rooms - did not use to find out costs. Communication was very difficult. Avoid booking here in very hot weather - no aircon
