Outstanding family hotel
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThis hotel is excellent when you travel with children as the kindergarten service is outstanding. Modern well appointed rooms, very good breakfast and dinner arrangments. The ski maintenance service as well as the transport service to the lifts are well executed. The only minus point is that you have to reserve well beforehand and the hotel becomes very popular with conference guests.
Location
Distance to the lifts is good and the downhill right into the hotel excellent. Waiting times at the lifts are very acceptable compared to other resorts. There are some nice shops in nearby Saalfelden and a visit to the honey producer Hottl is also worthwhile as well as the two distillieries (Herzog and Stockl). Leogang skiresort is busy but not overcrowded even in the high season.
Staff is very friendly and competent. Room cleaning is always done when you're are at breakfast or on the ski slope and they try not to disturb you.
During our last stay we had a problem with the young receptionist as we had
a package delivered to the hotel. Neither did he knew about it, neither was it sent to the room although clearly marked. By coincidence we saw the bag lying around at the back of the reception area. Minor thing, but...

Breakfast is as good as it gets and you really have an excellent choice.
Dinner is also very good with good quality local food. And they cook Austrian style which i think is good as they don't try to import foreign cuisine. Excellent wine list.
Sport & Entertainment
The wellness area, pool and sauna's are very good and the hotel deserves to be quoted 10 best in Austria. Kindergarten is very well organized.
Room
Modern, well appointed. Clean, plenty of towels, pillows, blankets. Nice views from the balcony on the surrounding mountains.
