Hotel La Marine

The situation of the hotel was been to super, directly because of the beach. One had to run only one stairs down and was direct at the sand beach (however only at ebb-tide). Beside the hotel a museum was which the first impression over background the whole area gave. About 10min to the Juno, 30min to the Omaha, about 40min to the Utah, also the other goals such as museums were to be achieved temporally pleasantly. Prices of the museums lay between 4€ and 9€. To recommend I know completely particularly the Memorial center at the Omaha beach. It is administered by the Americans and it really very beautifully and very informatively.

With the service it was so a thing for itself. The ladies at the reception were very friendly and could also good English knowledge exhibit like that a first communication were well possible. We also referred to it that one between 19. Clock and 9. Clock free of charge on the museum parking lot to park can. Otherwise the hour costs 1€. In the morning one can get oneself with an attendant a map around so unnecessary park costs to save, there the map starting from 9. Clock counts and thus 1€ costs. The service with the breakfast was under all sow. There was no service strength the English knowledge to exhibit could. Also the service was very slow, it lasted about 15 min. to empty buffets was again filled up. Also special wishes were not even fulfilled. I wanted to drink gladly cappuccino in the morning. There was not to pay and even as I it specially wanted this was not fulfilled. That I in still no hotel experienced. All the same whether it had 1-Stern in Germany or 3-Sterne in Spain or 5-Sterne in New York, there the guest was always king. The room daily cleaned and also completely properly. However one had to put the towels into the bath tub these otherwise was not exchanged there.

In the hotel it gave to apparent be its own restaurant of which famous for its good kitchen special for the fish should. Map gave it only on English and French although with a German map was recruited gave it none. The quality of the meal was very good. Fresh fish and really 1a prepare. However the quantity did not correspond to the price performance ratio. A small Caesar Salad cost 12€ and three Sardinen with four potatoes 26€ or a beer lay with 7€ and Coke 0.33 with 4€ otherwise was it okay, it was clean and the service was always endeavored. One should give tip between 5% and 10% from the invoice amount whereby I personally me by this default would not hold. Because I do not find justified with a 80€ calculation for two persons 8€ tip for nevertheless. In other restaurants there was rather worse experience. I also meanwhile to a vacation home or a camping would guess where one its meal prepare can, to require because I nevertheless for a pizza four-cheese, who resemble a Käsefondue, 14€ or a steak, which was toughly and not medium, feels with a small portion of fries for 21€ for too expensive and the quality simply does not tune. The buffet with the breakfast read also to wish remaining. As already above mentioned the service was very bad. Selection of the buffet: 3-Sorten jam ham 1-Sorte cheese honey hardcooked eggs Zwieback of apples 2-Sorten Kellogs 3-Sorten juice. I felt selection as very poor.

The question is now again which can one from one two-asterisks hotel room to really expect? With a comparison to Germany some, here in France nothing at all. It cost the night for two persons with breakfast to 126€. Room was furnished with two beds and one night cabinet each. The night cabinets wackelten. The plug sockets in the room were not fastened and thus a danger for infants. There were plug sockets three in the room which for the two Stehlampen and the television draufgingen. Possibility for the loading of Akkus,… Etc. It did not give without plugs off thus. The large wardrobe did not load degrees to grants and thus remained my clothes the whole time in the suit-case. There was a LCD-TV which however only French channels received. The bathroom was not with a bath tub furnished which shower curtain or something similar ordered so that one at showering the bathroom under water set. On check in day were on the Klobrille hair which my opinion at all does not go. Dust on the cabinets was cm thickly and the carpet exhibited a quantity of white marks. But it 2008 to be reconditioned should corresponded it no case to the requirements. Which was reconditioned could not I unfortunately not say.

The best tip which I give can to recognize after two France journeys in this year, is this country only not at all to visit so beautiful it is also, if one does not speak French is one lost because it it really the appearance makes the fact that one resists English as world language and really ignores. If one should visit the region nevertheless around more over their meaning in the Second World War to experience, one should procure the normandy passport, he costs themselves 1€ and gives with all participating museums etc. 1€ reduction. I believe the next time, should it a next time for me in France give, I not under 4-Sterne will check in.
