Good hotel with in a quiet location & bus connection *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe hotel has 9 floors and spacious apartments. The apartments consist of 2 rooms (small living room with desk and TV, the bedroom with a kingsize bed and also tv) and, of course, also a bathroom with toilet and shower/tub. The rooms are spartan but not for those who need to be completely ok. The cleanliness was given and there was nothing to complain about. The rooms are equipped with air conditioning and it's nice, cool air for 4 units. There is a full breakfast offered by American standards. There were daily: eggs, sausage, pancakes, waffles, cereal, fruit, fruit salad, toast, muffins, donuts, coffee, milk, apple and orange juice etc. You couldn't fault here only on duration not necessarily fulfillment. Lunch and dinner, the hotel itself. The guests come from all over the world for example, Germany, USA, Russia etc. Actually mixed, as well as the age structure of the guests.
Location
The distance to the Newark airport about 15 minutes by taxi and cost of about $55 each way. Manhattan is about 20 -25 minutes to get on a bus. The costs are 3.95 USD per person one-way. The best way is to get just the Roundtripticket for 7.90 USD per person. You will forget not at never mind the ticket to solve. As the local bus stops right outside the hotel and it is also the beginning/terminus of the bus 320 is of course that was very convenient. The buses run on weekdays almost in a 5 minute tact directly to Manhattan to Port Authority. Weekend while buses are in the 15-30 -minute intervals. There are Nearby shopping areas like Walmart etc. The walk without further.
The hotel staff is friendly and helpful. The room cleaning was good and decent. The hotel guests were washing machines, where you can wash your clothes and vending machines for the thirsty.
Gastronomy
There is a restaurant/bar at the hotel where you could also reasonably priced food. In the surrounding area is also great restaurants like the Outback Steakhous in Harmon Meadow.
Sport & Entertainment
The hotel features an indoor pool, but we didn't use. A disco available in hotel, but there is a fitness room. There was a 2 treadmills, 2 bicycles or on the abdomen-leg-po-equipment. In addition there is entertainment provided by a television. The hotel has free internet access for guests. The connection speed is extremely good.
Room
The rooms are like small apartments. You have a sitting area and a sleeping area each with a television. The furniture was simple, but if you don't want luxury is quite ok. Rooms have microwaves, refrigerators, coffee machine. That makes it easy to buy food and drinks and cold. There is also a phone in the room. There was a safe in the room itself. There is a safe deposit box at the front desk. We did not use. The hotel was renovated several years ago and it shows. The rooms are clean and there was nothing to complain about.
