Great beach, nice hotel but very remote location *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AWe spend one week at hotel Lagomandra and have a good time! Only complaint was the fact that the hotel is very remote, bothered us. Apart from the sister hotel Lagomandra Beach there was really nothing in the surrounding area (no promenade, no place etc. ). The hotel shuttle (€4 per. P.. ) departs daily morning after neo Marmaras. At least once you should take advantage of this offer as neo Marmaras is a very pleasant little place - it's worth it! Thursdays there is a market, a nice change! The staff at the Lagomandra was absolutely friendly and all spoke great German (which really surprised us and we did not expect! ). The room was ok but no more than that. Quite small and not very modern - but most of our time was spent outside anyway. The beach was a dream and the sea crystal clear. In this respect it really couldn't have been better! We liked the pool area. For the safety, there was there from 11 to 19 hours even a lifeguard, the careful that no one (especially the children) happen. Internet is available next to the lobby and costs 2 € an hour. Supermarket belonging to the hotel is overpriced, but it's far and wide no other shopping possibilities. The transfer time from Thessaloniki airport is approximately 90 minutes. All in all, we had a great holiday at the Lagomandra!
