This was my third stay at the lodge and it is my favorite lodge. It is still the same staff, the same quality and the same gracious hospitality. If you stay here vacation power, you should be aware, that you in the middle of the rainforest and can't expect luxury. The rooms are simple and functional equipped and cooling fans used. Excellent kitchen. 'Adolfo' has already been 20 years and cooks excellent. The management he has adopted some time ago. 'Henry' the night watchman, the guests every evening ' Kaimansee ' and feeds the Caymans, which one. There 'Didier' real has eagle eyes, it takes guests through the rainforest. The lodge is a fantastic place for bird-watching. Currently being built for a photographer, in order to watch the animals without them, even closer. Sadly, 29 June 2010 a tornado destroyed a part of the primary rain forest, which I was very shocked. Only if you were lucky the lodge has weathered the storm. The parking Kaimansee free canoes for your use. A boat trip up to the border of Nicaragua is not to be missed. I could enjoy the tour this time unfortunately not, because the boat engine was broken. The boat tour costs 26 American dollar. It will also give rides. The rain forest tours are also available free of charge. For me it is clear: in a Costa Rica travel hotel Laguna del Lagarto lodge should not be missed.
