Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AWe spent 8 wonderful days in the layana resort.HCLFHLIt started with an two hour drive from Krabi fun airport with two ferries to long beach, where the general manager Christopher and smiling faces many friendly Thai welcome.HCLFHLWe had booked the suite, and it was exactly what we needed, spacious, private and with all the amenities you need for a good five stars resort. The first impression was a big Wow!HCLFHLA large bathroom with shower, plenty of storage space for bags ten, a large flat screen tv, a DVD player, a day bed (which I would have liked to have been taken with) a minibar with incredible fair prices (50BT for Singa, 30BT for a orange juice) and a view on a post card.HCLFHLIt was the first time on our travels, we all our meals in the restaurant had.HCLFHLBecause the Hotel was only little occupied (low season) there was only a large Sunday breakfast buffet (with Sekt), but the a la carte breakfast was everything really was necessary, and we serve... the food came in minutes and the waiter knew already on the second day our choice of coffee and fruit etc.! You could see, that the F&B manager Florian a great deal of time to train the staff spend.HCLFHLFor lunch we were mostly by the pool and ordered from the snack menu, the staff by the pool with a large smile was served! In the course of the day were chilled fruit skewers, ice water and cold towels available, which we found very schaetzten.HCLFHLThe restaurant menu consisted of a wide variety of Thai and European dishes Europe (with a fantastic gourmet tuna tartare to fresh gnocchi's, delicious pizzas, catch fresh seafood, steaks and hung a wide range of Thai curry and Thai specialties. The prices are a little bit more than in the restaurants at the street, but this was not the fantastic long service!HCLFHLWhere in the world you get a main course in a five stars hotel for five euros (served with a selection of bread rolls, bread sticks and an amuse Bouche)? We appreciate in particular the pricing, as all taxes, gratuities and so forth included in the price, so no hidden costs!HCLFHLMy wife has to have every day with a different Spa treatments can, (seaweeds packages etc..) I went 3 times with a Thai massage, it was probably the most professional massage I've ever had, (and for two persons for BT1000!) this is a very good price/performance ratio!HCLFHLLittle things like the free wine tasting with snacks, and always present general manager Christopher, the F&B manager Florian, the even my favorite white beer imported from Bangkok, the housekeeping crew invisible, the free Wi-Fi Internet access (available throughout the resort) .and, and I could name more... our stay in long beach special made!HCLFHLWe left layana very sad, but we'll be visiting again soon and all, (which want to hear) of the No1 resort in Thailand!
