Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe hotel is located in the French-speaking part of Switzerland in Villars-Gryon region. The hotel is perched majestically on the hillside on the edge of the town direction Gryon/Villars and offers a fantastic view over the Swiss Alps and the Rhone Valley.
We wanted to explore the beautiful canton of Vaud and in particular the Geneva area. When we booked we were not aware, that the entrance after Villars very winding. You have to about 15 from aigle minute drive into account. From aigle but freeway access. Therefore, the Geneva-City (about 30 minutes) Montreux or (about 50 minutes) Lausanne good reachable. Overall the hotel convinced through the very good price/performance ratio. In the TUI catalogue was the double deal of street for the 100 EURO for two persons inclusive per night half board were offered. In the hotel there was still lots of extras. So was the minibar with daily refill in the price as well as the free sauna or usage of the pool. The pool is very small. From the sauna room enjoys a beautiful view of the mountains. The hotel room was clean and conveniently furnished and had a balcony. As other reviews said, the rooms are on the street side quite noisy, because the line BEx-Villars runs right in front of the hotel. However, the views from the fifth floor of the hotel, road-laterally very nice.
A great deal is the free-free access for hotel guests, which includes, inter alia, the free use of various trains and cable cars in Villars, Gryon and diablerets. The interesting thing too is the journey of Villars on the COL de la Croix after diablerets.
