Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AWe stayed at the Chateau D'Etoges en route to Paris 2 nights. The castle is located quietly in a very nice garden, breakfast will be served in our Salon taken of the castle, the dinner ( menu or a la carte) in the Orangery. The room ( Monseigneur) was very stylish - four poster bed, murals, and fireplace. All in all is the castle for the Bon Vivant of semi-formal and good French cuisine - and of course champagne. With child we would probably not stay again - there are no facilities (except for a very poor swing) and the food, especially in the evening, some guests feel disturbed with our son. In this case, we can even understand, because if you have been several 100 euros for champagne and food, you want spend our privacy. The food was truly superb and Menuwahl also very extensive. There is even a menu for kids. In the town itself there was a small supermarket. Apart from a city sightseeing in Reims and Epernay and visit a Champagnerkellers the region offers hardly trips and entertainment.
