Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AAs a one of the cheaper hotels in Tunis, this one is probably a popular choice on price comparison websites, but be aware that you get what you pay for.
From the overpriced and unusably slow internet at 8 dinars an hour, through to the restaurant which serves the same food 4 days in a row and has a variety of prostitutes for you to choose from, it really isn't a great hotel.
For a little bit extra, you can find much better. For example, if you need this location just north of the city centre, Hotel du parc on the next street is much better.
Location
Quite centrally located, although a 20 min walk to the city centre if you are a tourist. Right on a busy road junction, which is not clever considering how much Tunisians love their car horns.
Room was fairly clean, although some cigarette burns on the sheets. Reception poor with English and either misunderstood or ignored me several times. Waiters also love flirting with women customers, ignoring males who might be looking for a drink with their food.
Gastronomy
Decent food some nights, but do re-serve the same food quite often. Be careful what you eat - i was half board, so i can be pretty certain this caused an upset tummy on more than one occasion.
Sport & Entertainment not available
Room
ok, plenty of hot water, but lots of noise and tv not working in either of the 2 rooms i was in.
Tips and recommendations
do not even try buying the internet vouchers. The service is unusable.
