A great hotel in a best location. Already the facade was breathtaking at arrival. Coming from the bustling Nice to the hotel lobby, one experienced a very clean, modern relaxed atmosphere. This atmosphere really described all areas of the hotel. The hotel was not a beach hotel, but a city hotel with international tourists whether for business, or as tourists or even the crew of an airline slept overnight there. July was the absolute peak season and there was certainly hardly a bed in the whole Nice free, but anyway a smooth and pleasant hotel holiday was guaranteed at all times. This hotel was not with hosts but was managed as an inn. Only the wishes of the guests were decisive.

In front of the hotel the ocean and behind the hotel the beautiful city - perfect. The view from the hotel terrace on the promenade and the ocean were an experience. From the airport the drive was about 20 minutes.

Very friendly staff. At the reception the staff wore small labels with the national flags of the countries, to inform which language each spoke - actually almost all of them. But even the maid was trying to understand our needs and it worked - we drew little pictures, pantomimed and smiled a lot. Unfortunately the restaurant, since it was fully booked, sometimes had waiting times. The ultimate highlight, was the concierge - a great organizational talent - he also was able in the absolute high season,to organize a place in the front row of the hippest beach club.

The restaurant had a small menu card with mostly international dishes. The food was good but not overwhelming. However, the prices were very high. That was due to several extra charges in Nice. Those who did not necessarily need a huge breakfast, we recommended the street cafes directly next to the hotel, to eat a 'petit dejeuner' breakfast and thereby save € 20 per person.

We had a room overlooking the city - and even that was just beautiful.Amazingly, the peace - even in such a large city. Mornings we awoke to the cries of the seagulls :-). Our room was modern, large and clean. There was TV, WLan, shower and bathtub, but only one sink. The small balcony was not suitable to spend much time there.

Tips and recommendations

Be sure to ask the concierge for more excursion possibilities. July was very hot and was incredibly full. The prices for beach chairs, food and drinks were at this time generally very high.
