All in all, a great holiday *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe Hotel Lukullus had a bit more than 80 rooms. The room was always clean. The area was rather small but very neat. There were pool chairs, pads and sunshades for free at the pool. There were many younger but also some older guests in the hotel. There were hardly any families with children in the hotel, but the hotel wasn't really suitable for kids anyway.
Location
It took about one hour from the airport to the hotel. It took about 10-15 minutes to walk to the beach, however, the hotel had its own shuttle service driving at certain times. This cost 4 liras (2 euros), but the pool chairs, pads and sunshade were already included. Very near the hotel you found some stores and the pedestrian precinct was about 2-3 minutes away on foot.
Most employees were rather unfriendly and their knowledges of foreign languages weren't really good. We already read a few reviews of the hotel on HolidayCheck before our holiday and there some people wrote that the staff wasn't very friendly. We didn't really think anything of it and thought that you are treated as you treat others. We really tried hard and even tried to talk a few words in Turkish with the staff (e.g. thank you very much, good evening, hello...), but no one was really interested in this. The cleaners of the hotel weren't really friendly either, although we already put tips the first day and again a few days later... We couldn't close the French windows in our room, but someone came quickly and repaired it. Unfortunately, we couldn't open the window again after 10 minutes. Unfortunately, we realized only the second last day that you could open our door without the keycard you get to open the room. So, everyone could have entered our room.

The food was always very good in the Hotel Lukullus. The choice was rather small, but it was only a 3 star hotel anyway. The food was typically Turkish, so we were served lamb several times... There was usually only one side dish and that was rice... Only the last two days we were also served croquettes and something like French fries. The breakfast and the lunch were eaten in the dining room, the dinner was eaten at the pool when the weather was good. There was a buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Drinks were served at the pool bar from 10 am to 10 pm. You could have two different types of juice from the automate...
Sport & Entertainment
There was no entertainment in the hotel, what we liked very much since it was very quiet with that. The pool of the hotel was always clean and the slide was only switched on for 1-2 hours a day.
The beach was very beautiful and the water was clean. As I said, there was a shuttle bus driving there a few times a day.
Room
The rooms were rather small but furnished practically and always clean. There was also a safe in the room which cost 1 euro a day.
Tips and recommendations
I can only give you the advice not to book excursions in the hotel since they were much too expensive there. We were on two excursions, one to Myra/Kekova and the other one was a jeep safari. For the excursion to Myra we would have had to pay 45 euros per person in the hotel, in the town the same excursion cost 20 euros per person... If you want to buy clothes,... you should really go tp Antalya, because Kemer was very very expensive. The people in the stores were also rather unfriendly.
