Very British *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe Ansty Hall is a smoke-free property of the British chain McDonald's, is but, except for the name, as part of a chain does not suitable for use - looks like it for centuries by a "old" British family run. The hotel consists of three buildings, a main building with reception, bar, restaurant, conference room and in some rooms, a neighboring building with rooms and another building that serves as function space. There are 70 rooms and 5 conference rooms available. The guest structure was very mixed, consists mostly of British, private and business guests seem to keep the scales.
Location
The distance from Coventry is about a 10 minute drive from Birmingham approximately 40 minutes, a taxi to the airport costs between 35 and 40 GBP. You can walk through a fine British agricultural LANDSCAPES walking, but shopping or entertainment possibilities were only be reached by car. The taxi takes about 15 minutes to get to the hotel.
The staff was very friendly and tried, every request directly and perfectly, even some of the staff remember the name of the guests and talk mutatis mutandis. The service staff in the restaurant was PERFECT, one thinks of (female) butlers to be served. The staff in the bar was, with one exception, very attentive. The rooms were cleaned very well.
Gastronomy
The atmosphere in the bar and restaurant area is really extremely British, hochflorige rugs, heavy with red Samtstoff-covered armchair, the more furniture in dark wood - the whole accompanied by classical music. At the bar there is a great selection of fine wines, remove Spiritusen and liqueurs, including beer is available. Snacks served to the drinks. A small menu is available in the bar. The restaurant has a great menu card, large enough with mostly British cuisine, moderately priced, the quality was excellent! The breakfast was wonderful, from the almost lovingly muted buffet, over the nicely made up tables, the allmorgentlichen question "What can we this morning for they will cook", to the perfect service the operate older ladies., take the it, a every morning to make you feel so welcome.

Also in the good sized guestrooms continue the impression of the whole place fort, clean, not quite new but very well maintained. It is unfortunately no minibar, no kettle and no safe available. The television program from the small flat screen tv stand by an economical approach - there are 5 programs, all kind of BBC or t v with skynews in relatively poor quality - there's even what! The windows can be only by a crack open, the heating/air conditioning was rather a bit weak dimensioned. My room was unfortunately right in the direction of a there are communicating and so was the - admittedly weinig establishment - somewhat disturbing. The bathroom is equipped with bathtub and large shower, everything worked well! Wireless internet access is available, but it had to be paid (approx. 8 Euro/day)
