Hotel Mangalan

The hotel is located in the heart of la manga in the middle section about. On the one hand, the mediterranean (which is only from one side and on the other side (shoulder) la mar menor, which is very nice. The way to the beach is on both sides not longer than five minutes. Everywhere there were small shops and at the beginning of la manga are also major shopping malls to find. La manga desk of I would recommend to visit la manga first and a little further to ' wild beaches' and why not after cartagena or murcia (both 1 hour by car).

The staff was friendly and helpful. The foreign language skills leave a lot to be desired. At the front desk there was only one person, the good spoke English. The rooms were daily cleaned, one could, if one wanted, the laundry done.

The only thing, which bothered us, was, that one of the two elevators was broken so we always had to wait a bit longer. And well, the music elevator is also took some getting used to... But one can live with it.

The hotel has a large dining room for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Everything is presented as a buffet. The food could also the room can be booked, which we did. We are not thrilled by the local kitchen, but I think, that is generally in the spanish cuisine. Everything was clean and the waiters always nice. The breakfast was included in our rate, but usually very much (believe around 15 euro per person). There is also a bar/café, which is accessible from the pool (on the inside). There are small snacks, as well as all kind of of drinks.

The hotel mangrove alan has its own Spa, which is very nice, if you take a look who wants to be pampered. Guests have a small discount. Besides, the hotel has a swimming pool, a pool for children, and two Spa tubs. Everything was once a week cleaned. The Beach Chairs by the pool are free of charge and the complex also very clean. There were showers and toilets on site.

Our room was very large with a balcony, with air conditioning, safe (free), mini bar, coffee and tea (with tea/coffee making facilities) free of charge. The bathroom was large with a window and a bath tub and bidet... Everything was very clean. One could use internet via cable in the room. Unfortunately, there was only one German TV channels.

-Best avoid the hot summer and the May, or June September! The prices were at this time also cheaper.
