Good alternative to Venice and airport hotels *

The hotel marine del Rey is a good alternative to Venice or Santa Monica. The complex is nestled in the middle of a huge Marina, as the name suggests. The rooms with a view of the marina are a little bit more expensive-therefor total quiet and of course if you have a great way to start the day with breakfast on the terrace. One day we had our breakfast-therefor we were the buffet breakfast in the restaurant was not very tasty and invited-the same as in the rooms, but a nice guests. It is within easy walking distance to Venice along the harbor. I would recommend the car-it is a very nice walk further. Therefor you can really delicious food-we tried the Mexican restaurant on the jetty and a gourmet restaurant at the Admiral way. Both were very good. In the hotel we only had breakfast-the rating is only for the breakfast. To the airport one needed about 20 minutes by car. One goes to the highway and you can be sure the day-to-day mega traffic.
