Hotel Marina Luz

5 minute walk to a sandy beach, restaurants, grocery stores, souvenir shops, pubs. Less than a 10 min. drive to airport, bus stops nearby (€1. 10 to Palma), trolley/train stop across the street (for €3. 50 you can hop on & off all day) which brings you to Playa de Palma beaches. Quiet location (ok, you can hear the planes, but they really aren't disturbing). Taxi to Palma- about €14 for the 10 min. ride. Bike rental available in the area- great bike/jogging/skating path along the water.

Very friendly, multilingual staff- German, French, Spanish, English. Check-in was fast & easy. Laundry service is available. Breakfast in the room is available at an additional charge.

Breakfast buffet was always being refilled, big array of breads, fruits, cereal, baked goods, eggs, meats, cheeses. The hotel seems to cater to the English, black pudding and such. We ate dinner there one night and they prepared a special meal for me since I am a vegetarian. Everything was very clean and well presented.

Beautiful pool (with a lift for handicapped guests), relaxing whirlpool, great sun deck. Internet access available for free in the lobby, or wi-fi through out the hotel for €3 per hour, €5 per day, or €20 per week. Meeting room. Live entertainment nightly in the hotel bar was excellent!

We were more than satisfied with the pool view room, but upgraded to the suite because we wanted something special. It was awesome!!! 2 balconies overlooking the pool, also a lovely view of the sea! A loveseat, coffee table and a chair, a padded bench at the end of the bed, a desk and chair~ very lovely! Hair dryers are in the marble bathrooms. Flat screen TVs are mounted on the walls (channels in Spanish, German, English), safe and air conditioning in rooms, fresh towels. Very clean, very lovely!

We loved this hotel and would highly recommend it! Check when the Spanish bank holidays are- everything in Palma will be closed! We went in October and the weather was a bit overcast, but warm & enjoyable. We had no problems with cell phone reception in the hotel.
