Hotel Marina Luz

To the beach it was only 5 walking minutes. Playa de Palma with the Ballermann 15 you reached in 15-20 walking minutes.
There were plenty of entertainment possibilities in the area.
Very easy to reach with a walk in the evening in 45-60 minutes was the Schinkenstrasse with all possibilities. If you didn't want or couldn't go on your home journey of foot you could use the midget train from the promenade for 4 Euros and comfortably get driven right in front of the Marina Luz.
During the day you could also drive to Palma on the bus very easily from the main road which was about 5 walking minutes away.
From the airport the hotel was 10-15 minutes away. With the taxi it cost 12-15 Euros if the driver didn't have a "Magic Button" and the ride then cost 18-20 Euros.
Because of the closeness to the airport the aircraft noise began at 5 a.m. and stopped towards 11 p.m. ...otherwise a fantastic location and area...

The staff in the Marina Luz were friendly. There was only one German speaking staff member though who apparently also worked as event manager.
Otherwise the hotel offered everything that you could await from a 4 star hotel.

A restaurant. The dishes were absolutely made to suit British and German guests and were freshly prepared.
In 4 days I didn't get the same food once and you always found something tasty.

The pool was very cold but it had to be if you wanted and had to cool yourself down (so don't just dive in... *g*)
Otherwise very neat. In the whole sun bathing and pool area wood and enough beach chairs were available.

Modern and friendly furnished. The beds were single beds which easily moved around and you could quickly disappear in the gap... *g* ...flatscreen TV on the wall and from the 5th floor a fantastic view of the bay of Palma...
Room was cleaned every day, air conditioning, safe and minibar...
Bathroom modern and friendly with hair dryer and everything you could expect with 4 stars.

To Palma go on the line 15, walk through the alleys in the old town to the harbor and then along the promenade in the direction of the hotel. When it didn't work anymore, go to the main road and off into the bus... In the evening of course enjoy the walk to the Schinkenstrasse and wait what becomes of the evening...
