Hotel Marina Suites Puerto Rico

Located right at the ocean, in the marina, 5 min from the small beach & 30 min walking distance from a big lovely, coral, man-made beach. Situated at the end of Puerto Rico, shops nearby (e.g. Spar), 15 min to the centre with the mall, bars & restaurants. Good selection of trips available, e.g. camel farm & camel rides, Las Palmas and lots of others. 'Must do' is one of the cruises to see the dolphins and whales. You'll se them for sure.

The service was good enough, the staff was always nice, room properly cleaned. Not everyone had great english, but it didn't cause any trouble. Reception was pretty helpful.

We've had B&B option and were definitely satisfied with the breakfasts. Cold and hot food, nice selection, only juices could have been better. Breakfast is served near the pool on the fresh air in a nice atmosphere.

The most important thing - the pool - absolutely fantastic, set right at the ocean, with a view to the cliff, ocean and the entrance to the harbour, so you can never be bored watching all the boats and ships coming and leaving. I still miss that pool a lot. Brilliant clean & warm water, showers, sunbeds with parasols available. Water aerobic organised daily.
Free internet available near the reception with your own laptop.

We vere very happy & excited about our room. It was actually the apartment. The hall, bedroom, bathroom with the toilet, sitting room with a little kitchen facility (all closed in a big cupboard - with a fridge, cooker, toaster, microwave) and a big balcony with an amazing ocean view. The safe payable, available in the bedroom. TV in the sitting room. The whole lot makes a lovely impression, everything is clean enough as well.

We stayed in the hotel at the beginning of September for 2 weeks and only last day was rainy & cool. Puerto Rico is the sunniest spot on Gran Canaria, so the only advice I could give you all is to come here & enjoy yourself. We were additionally lucky to choose Marina Suites... As well as being happy to go out and explore the island, we were also happy to come back to our apartment each evening.
PS. Actually there is one tip for you - don't follow all the advertisements everywhere around and DON'T go to ANFI, which is a luxurious private holiday spot, close to this hotel anyway, it's very nice & everything, they'll promise you some gifts - but at the end of the day they'll waste your whole day and wreck your head offering an expensive purchase of holidays for life. We felt exchausted and annoyed after that...
