4 Star hotel with sea view *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe hotel Marko with its 48 double and triple bedrooms on 3 floors is located in a beautiful park on the boardwalk in Portoroz. It is a house with history and has been in use since the end of the 19th century. The hotel has been refurished within the last few years we are in no way the German standard afterwards. The cleanliness of the hotel is good and has no reason for complaints. Get off at the hotel Spa guests, business travelers or bathing from all over Europe. In particular get off here guests from Italy, Austria and Germany.
Location
The hotel is at the turn signposted and so very easy to find. The place Portoroz meanders along the beautiful beach promenade. The hotel Marko is located on the right-hand side in the direction of the town of Piran. On the beach promenade, there are several shops, restaurants and 'Café's, as well as a beach for swimming. A trip to the neighboring town 2 miles away Piran is a must. An hour parking in Piran cost 1,20 €, but you can also take the bus for 40 cent in the old seaport of Piran. (www. Jörgsausflugstipps. Apart from excursions to Piran De) it is a few minutes in Croatia or in the Italian city Trieste.
Behind the hotel there were 2 garages in the high season, the use cost 10 -€ & in the off season 7. - € per day. The staff spoke German and is in everything very helpful. The floors in the hallway is a shoe shine to free use by guests.
Gastronomy
In the hotel restaurant and on the hotel's terrace you can either choose from the table d'hote and choose from the menu. The restaurant is open until 10 pm evenings and offers a good value for its food which also very tasty. The buffet breakfast is extensive and offers a continental assortment of food and drinks. - Coffee should you are right in the middle of the bar, as the dispenser didn't taste!
Sport & Entertainment
Directly in the hotel there is little sport and entertainment. There is a PC in the foyer for the free internet in the lobby.
Room
The rooms can be reached by a lift quickly and comfortable. The size of the room and the bathroom is very large, with feels uncrowded. I would recommend a room facing the sea, and then you can enjoy the sunset from the balcony. The rooms have in-room safes (in the closet), minibar, air conditioning and a modern TV equipped. However only pro 7 welcomes you as a German channels. Smoking is allowed on the balcony. The private bathroom features a toilet, bidet, shower, hair dryer and cosmetics. The condition of the rooms is very good and clean.
Tips and recommendations
As the Minibargetränke are not cheap, at one of the, few minutes from the hotel, supermarkets within its buy drinks. The hotel is in the summer, but also suitable for a beach holiday in spring or fall for exploring.
