Am homesick for Matheo *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AComfortable hotel and not such a huge bunker as in Turkey where you always got lost. Everything very clean and you felt very good here. The rooms were fairly big, especially the villas. Villas, bar, toilet and terrace were all new and modernly furnished.
From the terrace you had a wonderful view of the ocean.
In the hotel there were mostly young couples or elder people. There weren't a lot of children there.
This year there were a lot of British there which wasn't that bad though as they were all very quiet.
Location
From the hotel to the beach it was about a 10 minute walk. From the airport it was about half an hour by taxi. The town Malia itself wasn't so beautiful. Altough there were a lot of bars there for young tourists.
The service was good as the staff were very friendly and everybody in the hotel spoke German.
The rooms were cleaned every day any every 3 days there were fresh towels. The staff tried very hard and problems were quickly solved.
Gastronomy
The food was very good. Every evening there was a buffet and a main meal was served. If you only had breakfast could order things from the menu which went from pizza oder noodles, meat and fish dishes right up to Greek specialities.
The restaurant was very clean and also the terrace as well as the inside were comfortable and modernly furnished.
Sport & Entertainment
The pool and the ocean were clean and there were always beach chairs available. Also there was a tennis court which you could use for free. Of course there was also internet access. You could bring your own computer and go on the internet over WLAN.
Room
The rooms were quite big, especially the villas. From the rooms you either had a direct view of the ocean or the mountains. In the villas there was a TV. Every room had a balcony and a telephone. In the villas there was a safe and in the rooms in the main building you got one on request. The rooms were always very clean. The villas were new and modernly furnished. The rooms in the main building were a bit older but still comfortable.
