Hotel Matheo

About the location I can only say that we were very pleased, that the hotel is not situated right in the center of Malia. You have the nicest view at the sea, much silence and cleaniness. The center is clearly dominated by the bald, tatooed English guests.

The host family, as well as the personnel is super friendly and genial. We have never felt ourselves so welcome in any holiday like in hotel Matheo. The personnel is very hard-working and helpful. You are even served at the pool and you feel yourself very well looked after. The rooms are super clean and smell after the cleaniness aslo very good :-). The handtowels are changed every 2-3 days, which is totally in order, as if who changes his hand towels already every 2 days?

The food in hotel is super. You can already get full with starters, there you dont need the main meal any more. The starters are very diversified. You always have a soup, as well as daily the typical salads. There are additionally more different other salads (like for example noddle salad or the delicious bean salad). Very recommendable was the eggs bread, which we knew only on our spot and so you have felt yourself very native. The breakfast buffet is also super.

There are a table tennis and a billiard table (pool), as well as a new jacuzzi in the hotel. There is a beachcomputer in the lobby, which you can use for less money and it is mostly free. But you can also rent for yourself a notebook with internet access, but who will want to hang around with the computer for the whole holiday.

Small but fine. Super clean!! The most of them are with balcone and a wonderful panorama view at the pool and at the sea.

Our tipp: Rent for yourself a quad. That doesnt cost a lot and you can explore the island, because it is very far away till the next nice beach. You can book autos right from the hotel. You get them already in the hotel and they are taken away back again over there (I call that service). We have definitely liked it and we will definitely go to the hotel Matheo next year.
