Perfect location *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe hotel was an older four floor construction, but both from the outside and inside very presentable. We booked an overnight with breakfast offer. At our holiday time there were some business travelers as well as German ladies groups at the hotel.
Free parking places were in limited number (about 10) directly available in front of the hotel.
Location
The location we thought was perfect. The hotel was right next to the popular Park Champ de Mars. It was seen from the rear of the hotel. But also at the front there was a beautiful green lawn with fountain. The Rapp Square was at the front side. The old town was also just a few minutes walk (max. 5 ).
We were welcomed very friendly and courteous, the check in was fast and at our arrival at 11.40 am we could move straight to our room. They inquired for smoking or non-smoking rooms. We were given a map of Colmar and were informed of the possibility to buy the Panorama train tickets directly at the reception. All the staff we encountered spoke German from well to very well.

At breakfast, you could choose between express breakfast and buffet. The express breakfast consisted of espresso, orange juice and croissant and cost at the time € 7. The buffet was for € 15.
The buffet: Juice, water, tea, coffee. You can also freshly press the orange juice yourself. There were also various jams, granola, cold meat, ham, scrambled eggs, pancakes with maple syrup, zwieback, croissants, two types of bread rolls, toast and fruit (unsliced)
What we missed were tomatoes and or pickle slices.

Room
We had room no. 306 on the fourth floor overlooking the fountain in the Champ de Mars. It was really a very beautiful view of the green park. The room was sufficiently large, with flat screen TV, large clothes closet, an armchair and desk. Moreover, there was a water heater and coffee and tea.
Tips and recommendations
For travelers above age 55 their breakfast was free.
