wonderful late summer holiday special *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AWe had at the end of a October 2011 wonderful, relaxing vacation in the Mikri Poli in Crete spent, but the long journey with the bus is not to be underestimated (ca.2, 5 hours from the airport). But the location, the weather at the end of October in the south of the island and the hotel quickly in the background. The walk from the rented bungalow high above on the hill to/from the beach was at this time of year due to the steep southern hillside location the entire complex a problem-in the middle of summer is not so easy to take, since any stable in the slope built-in lift was broken and the footpath the only possible way to the beach/pool was. The rooms are very spacious, modern equipped, clean-fine and discreet service, we liked it very much. Food was good and there was plenty of variety, absolutely alright for us only the volume in the restaurant was quite high (children...), meals was at this time of year only conditionally possible and there was hardly an alternative, to avoid the noise level. Decor in the restaurant and practically. Pool bar with mini lunch meal and snacks as well as drinks was good and the beach available without any problems, so that we could save at the restaurant and stay in the sea, without starve ''. In October was the small fishing village, at the end of the hotel lies, very quiet, many taverns and other shopping, etc. already closed-not the right time for a long night of partying in place (but we were not looking for that). Entertainment we adults used, but not pushy. The kids (4 and 7 years) was the solino Club and the service very good.
