Fascinating small hotel in old city
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThis is a charming, unusual small hotel in the heart of the old city. It's owned and run by one of the most interesting men you'll ever meet. Juan San Emeterio is not only a hotelier, but a visionary, a sage, a mystic, and a very kind man, who loves nothing better than to stop everything to talk philosophy with a hotel guest.
Location
It's situated right in the heart of old San Juan, just round the corner from some of the best restaurants, cafes and salsa clubs, not to mention many beautiful baroque buildings.
The staff are all very friendly, mostly speak English, and the incomparable owner is never far away, whose English is completely fluent.
Gastronomy
The hotel has a rooftop bar and restaurant which serves excellent Puerto Rican dishes with an international touch. It's a marvellous place to gaze over the roofs of the old city.

Room
The rooms are very comfortable and well-equipped. The ones at the front have big rooms overlooking Calle Fortaleza, one of the main narrow streets of Old San Juan. A few at the back have small windows.
