Best of all lookout in Manhattan
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThis hotel on the East River is particularly interesting because of its magnificent outlook. It is located in the upper floors of a skyscraper. The staff in the foyer is friendly and helpful with all your needs. The hotel at all seems to be modern and clean. The International guests are obviously connected to the UN and its Institutions.
Location
A more beautiful location for a hotel in Manhattan is hardly conceivable. Overlooking the city skyline and the best view of the East River, you can enjoy a wunderfull lookout . On foot you're going in a few minutes in the 5th Avenue for shopping or eating. The connection to Upper or Lower Manhattan via bus or Underground is easy from the nearby Grand Central Station. For small purchases, a small hotel located in the Gift Shop, which leads all the important items. In the basement of the hotel is also a restaurant. If you are working within the UN Headuarters, it is situated just in front of the hotel.
Room service is unobtrusive and thorough. The staff at the check-in counter is OK. If there are any requests, especially the concierge and the doorman are very friendly and happy to help you with every request.
The hotel advertises that its staff speaks over 40 languages, but I didn´t checked their knowlege in speaking german.

Sport & Entertainment
In the hotel there is a small fitness center and a swimming pool. The gym offers a good selection of fitness equipment, some of which however are a bit old an not in the best shape and does not longer function properly.
Additional Towels are avaliable at the gym reception.
Room
The rooms are generously spacious and have a good bed. Particularly noteworthy is the great views. The airconditioned room is equipped with Flatscreeen TV . The bathroom is small and has a shower in the bathtub. In some bathroom accessories for personal use and a hairdryer are provided. The room is clean, the carpet and the furniture look slightly worn. At all gives me the room and especially the bathroom the impression that it would be time for a renovation.
Tips and recommendations
The higher up the room the more you can enjoy the beautiful view to east river and manhattan skyline
