Super vacation, worth more than four stars *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe only drawback was the sand on the beach, which was marred with cigarette butts. That is however rather in the behavior of the smokers, and has nothing to do with the hotel itself.
Everything else is really top-class and, in our view, the hotel should be worth five stars. We don't have children but what we saw, the care of the kids, children's swimming pool and kids' disco is highly recommendable for families. As a couple without kids, we can't complain about noise, etc.. Mainly German tourists, mixed from young to old, singles and families, make this hotel a great place for people who wish to relax. The staff are very welcoming and also with complaints they helped us immediately. We had a worm in the bed which was a bit annoying. The bed was exchanged immediately. The place Obzor is ten minutes walk or five minutes by bus or car ride away. There are typical shops with souvenirs and tourists from 'original ' Bulgarian mark. If you keep looking, you can find boutiques with better quality. Prices are negotiable. There are also two restaurants in the town of Obzor. Excursions to Nessebar and using the sailboat St. Helena, are also recommendadable. To Varna one can drive cheaply by bus from Obzor.
The euro is not their official currency yet. However, it is in most cases accepted. Conclusion: The Hotel, the food, the shows, the staff are compared with other hotels (also in Germany) quite better!
