private beach beside hotel Seerose hotel had everything you could possibly need. Five minutes bus ride to St Gilgen ( cable cars there is a must if only for the view). Village shop has basic stuff. St Gilgen, Wolfgang or Bad Ishchl is better for variety. Trip to Salzburg by bus which leaves outside the hotel and only takes 30 mins is a must. whilst in St Gilgen you can get a ferry to St Wolfgang. Lovely walks around Fushl itself, boat trips and horse and carraige.

Most of the staff went above and beyond the call of duty. Particularly Elisabeth( who allowed us to change room as we did not like the road noise),Helena(who explained our excursions) ,Kirsten, and Tanja ( facilitated us to eat our dinner early as we were going on a boat trip). Gina, mans best friend, greeted everyone who entered and exited the hotel . Their English was exceptional which made everything so much easier.

The room was basic and in my opinion needs updating.I would have liked if it had tea making facilities. The balcony was beautiful as the river ran directly underneath. The addition of flower boxes to the balconys at the back of the hotel would have been nice.

Very good base for seeing the lake district. Bus fares are reasonable and taxis are extreamly expensive.There is free internet within the hotel. Weather can be unpredictable, brolly is a must. On a whole weather is lovely.
