Stay away!
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe food was very strange indeed to say the least - roast turkey and Brussels sprouts in July? - and some dishes appeared at several meals in succession, apparently re-heated! I got an upset tummy (D&V) on the first day we were there, and spent the second day of our holiday in bed.
Our little boy got a bad rash after swimming in the pool. The rep said "it must be prickly heat", but it was only in the area of his bathers!
Since the hotel bar refused to accept our Travelcash cards and there was no ATM for miles (with only 2 buses a day into the nearest town, which didn't come back so you had to get a taxi) we had no cash, so couldn't afford to buy the v expensive) bottled water. There was little or no effective air conditioning in the main hotel areas so we felt trapped in the tiny bedroom, which was the only place we could get cool.
When it began to get cooler in the evening, at around 9.00 pm, we went out to sit in the hotel garden and read. However at 9.30, without any warning, they turned on the sprinklers! We were soaked to the skin as we ran for the door. The books we were reading were soaked, and our precious glasses of the expensive water were contaminated and had to be thrown away!
Instead, we went for a walk on the beach, where my daughter got a nasty bite on the foot from a flying insect, of which there were very many.
On the third day we asked to be moved!
