Perfect location, poor service! *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe hotel for the price is really in order. However one should not the smallest room, as the is really a cell. We had a room on the side (even though we had booked front view), plus: it is quiet during the night, disadvantage: You felt like it would be at night, because there was no light into the room. The heating system is below ground. not in the respective rooms can be controlled by, but centrally over reception. the room sauna, because permanently hot humid Elektroheizungsluft pumped out in the small room.
Location
The location is great! Really the best part of the hotel. You are in five minutes on 5th Ave. or to Broadway. Empire State Building is just around the corner, exactly like Macy's. There are also lots of good places to eat in the delis around the corner and in the café.
The majority of the front desk staff was super friendly, except for the manager. We had a room with front view, which also about $40 more expensive than the other rooms. We still have a room with a view of the Nachbarhauswand. The manager said on several requests go there we were in the correct room. Eventually we presented the booking, then they gave us $10 a night which was really was a joke, finally we had 40 paid more. He was extremely unhelpful and rude. The housekeeping staff did not even a single day wangle 2 towels in the bathroom. Also not only once the floor was cleaned.

As I said, the rooms are very small, but for New York and the price it's ok. The bathroom was relatively new and the shower was good. The toilet did not work properly. Altogether could be cleaner.
