A great holiday *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe hotel Nana Beach had a beautiful area. It was huge and very well-kept. but despite the size it made a cute impression. The food was very good only sadly always the same (after about 9 days it got critical). The rooms were very beautifully furnished. The rooms were arranged in small houses and all reached up to the 3rd floor. But there were a lot of these houses (up to 900 rooms). But despite the many rooms the beach chair areas were never overfilled as everything spread out over the 5 pools, the sandy beach and the beautiful beach chair areas along the cliffs. The hotel was a German hotel and most of it was German. But nevertheless there were other nationalities (for example Italy, USA) and apendant intenational activity staff. The shows in the amphi theater at the ocean though were in German as there was also an amphi theater opposite reception were international shows took place. The “Baddis” (activity staff) were all very nice and friendly and there was something there for everyone (fashion bimbo to super athlete). In the kids club you had a lot of fun. Fitness was every day but not very professional. The daily evenings shows were beautiful but sadly also not as professional as in the Aldiana. All in all it was a very beautiful holiday and I would go there again any time and can only recommend it.
Location
The hotel was located directly the beach and you didn't notice anything of the city. It took about 20 minutes to walk to that city. It took about half an hour to get to the airport by bus. You should land in Heraklion however. I think this hotel only had one neighboring hotel. But a near hotel had much entertainment. The direct surrounding area of the hotel was wonderful. For example, you could wonderfully listen to the sound of the sea, the way it dashed to the stones under you and if you looked to the left or right, you saw the mountains.
The service was very good, above all the entertainers. They were very friendly and one could have a lot of fun with them. The reception spoke not much German unfortunately and was not usually as friendly to kids as with adults. Everyone spoke perfect English in the hotel. The room cleaning took place usually only towards lunch - afternoon. The bags must be delivered a few hours before the departure date at check in and these were brought right to the airport.
The shuttle bus came very punctually. But the helpfulness was actually very good.
Gastronomy
There was a main restaurant. That was located at the reception and offered a lot of food. The Thalassa restaurant was located directly at the beach. It was smaller however and didn't have as many offers as the main restaurant. But the boss of the restaurant was extremely organized and I would like to praise him at this point. You had to reserve several days before for the speciality restaurants (Greek, Italian and fish). The food was good as mentioned before but it was always the same. The hygiene was good.
Sport & Entertainment
The sport offers were a lot of fun. In the spa area it was very relaxing. The kids pool was great, same as the other pools and the many bars. The water was glass clear and at the natural stony beach there was a sandy beach added. And again: The Baadingoo Kids Club was a lot of fun.The program varied, although sometimes one could not really depend on it. Everyone there was quite crazy!!
Room
The rooms were great. They were very roomy. The furniture was modern and very beautiful. The balcony was large. There were a lot of German television programs received. The bathroom was large and modern. The room however unfortunately was at the edge of the hotel, whereby one heard the neighbor hotel. There were two air conditioning systems and large windows. The hygiene was fair. The hotel tried to save with electricity, which was good. I stayed in a family room.
