Some flaws-but a great location *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe good first: the location of the hotel is fantastic. We arrived with the Arlanda express train station in Stockholm. Leave the train, we were already in front of the hotel! I have stayed at many city breaks-this was the best!
The hotel in general: the hotel is designed in a modern style but was already quite worn.
The front desk is staffed with three switches rather small for the number of rooms. Since not all switches were always occupied. The staff speaks English, is a bit reserved but. I do not know, whether this was the mentality of the Northern-at least they are not very welcoming respectively friendly.
Bar: the hotel is the ice bar. The entrance costs around ten Euros. Reservation mandatory. I think it is rather presumptuous, that you as a guest to the bar have to pay entrance and right on the line as 'not Otel guests 'because the bar in the hotel itself is.
Breakfast room: there is an absolute chaos prevailed in the breakfast room. The buffet was wide and good, but the staff at the weekend lose the overview.
The tables were no longer cleared. You had to stand at tables with dirty crockery set. It was really disgusting and for a four star hotel totally inadequate.
Rooms: the cleanness left a lot to be desired. On my bedside table was a (probably red wine) mark of room to move. Also there was quite a lot of dust on the floor (dust mice).
At night the room was incredibly bright, which is due to the lights of the courtyard. The curtains were thick. The window only open with male muscle.
The closet was very small.
In the bathroom there were soaps, shampoos etc. the towels were changed daily.
In the corridor was an incredibly musty smell. Probably the carpet. Also the carpet was full of stains.
