Check-in/out problem - if you good understanding of the English language. The hotel is in good condition and attractive. A nice on-top to relax is the pool, sauna and Turkish bath area, especially in the cooler time of year we visited Edinburgh. The rooms are of a good standard with complimentary tea/coffee. The breakfast buffet is my opinion £13.50 clearly too expensive. Besides the more Scottish offer (fried and scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, beans, fried mushrooms, waffle topped with syrup) but was cold cuts (except for one day only) and only 1 sort of cheese Cubed everything you like. Cafes as a cheaper alternative there's almost on every corner - the first on the same street 300 meters away. Attention: Many outdoor cafes open only to 5:00 pm! Tips: bus 35 , the also to/from the airport stops directly in front of the hotel ("Lauriston Place"). With 1.20 pounds cheaper than the Airlink bus (6,50), the circa 10 minutes. Within walking distance from the Novotel Wegzeit stops ("Westend"). Restaurant "The Witchery" on the Royal Mile near to the castle is a bit more expensive, but is highly recommended - as well as a window seat at the back, second to make reservations at the fine dining restaurant. Indian: restaurant "Straße" near the hotel. What we really liked was the free guided tour in Edinburgh. Detailed information: http: Wavering www. Newedinburghtours. Com/. Also a must is the "Museum of Scotland", for those history of Scotland from its roots up are interested in now free). Also the impressive is the National Portrait Gallery on Princes Street Gardens.
