Nice hotel, hardly sandy beach *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe hotel was nice and clean, the rooms in the main building were spacious.
There were 2 main restaurants, one in the main building and one by the beach - the second one turned into a à la carte restaurant in the evening, only with prior resveration.
The guests were of mixed nationalities, 45% Italian guests, 45% Russian guests. We met three German speaking families, two of them from Austria and 1 from Switzerland.
Location
The transfer from the airport- hotel took about 20 minutes. From the main building to the beach it was about 500 meters. You could go shopping in the hotel itself or in front of the hotel, there was a far stretching shopping street with all kinds of stores.
Around the main pool the floor was being repainted, and there were areas you couldn't enter. The paint didn't really smell environmentally friendly.
Fortunately, you could use the other pool or go to the beach.
The hotel was located by the flight lane and sometimes you could hear the planes.
Almost all staff members spoke English, Italian and Russian but not too good. A few were friendly, most of them seemed rather bored.
There was a doctor in the hotel, he spoke English.

The main restaurant was too small, especially in the evening you had to wait up to 40 minutes to get a vacant table again.
The temperature in the restaurant/lobby was definitely too cold around 15°C. 50% of our familiy had a sore throat afterwards.
The food was good an variying, mostly Italian and English. For dessert they served too less fruit, only bananas and apples, once melons and dates.
Sport & Entertainment
The child club and the entertainment was in Italian and Russian.
The atmosphere in the lobby was very loud in the evening, people were dancing and singing there. At around 10pm it got quiet again.
The pools 3 in total, the main building, the beach and the slides were also a little bit loud during the day, typical entertainment music but it wasn't disturbing.
The slides were not under active supervision and a little bit dangerous for small children. Without sliding mats, you could get burned.
On the beach you could admire the corals from a jetty, short distances, beautiful coral reefs.
Room
Our room was okay, clean and spacious. The mattresses... well, not the best ones and they weren't of the same thickness. The frames on which the matresses were, were shocking, it was just some boards nailed together. Some nails even pointed upwards... The rest wasn't special, clean bathroom, fridge, TV without German or English channels, air conditioning, safe
Tips and recommendations
Good for snorkeling, don't walk on the beach without beach shoes in any case. Aviation noise during the day. Maybe a construction site right next to the hotel.
