Hotel Özkaymak Marina

The landscape and nature was fantastic but what did that help when the rest didn't fit.
You saw right into the dolphin aquarium and if you shouldn't see it you heard it. The dolphins and sea lions called the whole night...
In summer you got the disco noise directly on your front door step.
The beach was 5 minutes away but you had to share it with ships. Diesel smell wasn't avoidable there.
Shopping possibilities in the hotel were poor but the pedestrian passage was quickly reachable.

We had to wait 3 days for the promised dressing gown.
Nobody spoke German. We felt ourselves very incomprehensible

GTI only wanted to sell excursions, selled us this 4 star hotel as a 5 star hotel and dismissed any complaints!
In town the GTI representative also didn't help us. We only had to deal with angry staff.
A room maid snubed us incomprehensibly and gruffly because we demanded on multiple days that the bathroom should be cleaned sometime...
Tips didn't have any effect here!

10 days of ruined dishes and constantly re-heated dishes. The joghurt "lived" and we returned unenjoyable dishes multiple times.
The kitchen boys had to scoop out the old fruit from the joghurt directly at the buffet and newly-place the tingly mass.
The plates were often dirty, you had to give them to the staff...
2 types of bread - and then from the day before. Guaranteed 3 or 4 fresh party suns ---
Cutlery was scarce. We had to buy spoons on the market!
The Iranians took everything with them we were told...

At the end of March, beginning of April no activities.
You could do a lot yourself...

The rooms were not very big and they saved in the lighting. A book you could only have read in the bathroom where there was enough light.
The bathroom wasn't even cleaned. Only the towels were changed and a few things were pushed to and fro a bit.
The beds we sometimes had to do ourselves.
The TV stood at the foot of the bed very functionaly.
Like that they could save electricity, who would want to turn their neck! With the German TV channels you had to chose yourself, either picture or sound!

This hotel was not recommendable at any time of year. At this time of year we were always here for walking. The landscape here really invited to do so but every 3 star hotel was better than this once.
Excursions were best booked in town where they cost half of that of what it cost with the agents in the hotel and I can guarantee you went with the same bus or ship!!!
Telephoning with the telephone card was very cheap from the public machines 1/2 hour for 5 Euros - you could talk quite a bit in that time. You got the cards in every grocery store.
If you book with GTI you have to make yourself clear that they didn´t make any effort with complaints - they just ignored them ...
