Nice beach, but no sea view *
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThe hotel (bed and breakfast) is located in the outskirts of Ogunquit and is can't miss. As the rooms at the seaside beach chairs, you get nothing from the street. The complex features several downwards floors, all of which include staircases. It is a bit silly when you every morning after showers to breakfast room ... For older people make it very difficult getting your luggage up to the rooms, as there is no lift and the stairs could be very slippery. The hotel has seen better days, yet resides in a clean and neat condition.
Location
If you get a room with a sea view, but that's no key to feel comfortable. the front the through street, you don't really hear from the bank, in the back-/ Strandgürtel. View of reeds and trees which was quite nice. The surrounding area is not meant for pedestrians, you are in need a car. There's a decent in Ogunquit village, the wonderful coastal trail and of course if you have in Maine or the neighboring New Hampshire nature in quantity, to discover and enjoy.
Friendliness or professionalism was available, even when not in the deluge. Room cleaning was fully in order. Good: You could with any provide coffee and cookies in the lobby and has free Internet access.
Gastronomy
Breakfast only was offered, which was ok. Cakes (plenty of choice), fresh waffles with maple syrup, various types of toast, cereal, fruit, yogurt, eggs, sausage and tipycal. is enough. The breakfast room was more like a connecting through many tour groups and always busy. As soon as a table was cleaned, before you could take place.
Sport & Entertainment Unused
Room
Large, comfortable, with fridge, coffee maker, iron and ironing board, terrace, you could also enter (otherwise did windows and doors in the Rundreisehotels cannot open windows). As the heating/air-conditioning was very loud, we left you only a few walk, so it was pretty cold.
Tips and recommendations
Travel time? We were to Indian Summer and enjoyed the intensive Laubfärbung in combination with stunning Costas. We ate dinner at the "Haylofts", a typical familyrestaurant, the strong by locals. It was about 300 meters from the hotel on the road down to the Wells.
