Beautiful location, good food *

Unfortunately, we had a very small room with an unbelievably hard mattress and, on top of everything, it was located to the street, something that made a good sleep impossible. At booking, you should take care not the get one of these rooms. On the other side, there were quiet and bigger rooms with sea view. Apart from that, the hotel was absolutely recommended for families and people who liked it quiet.
The food was always very good just like the service. I am rather sentivie at eating and I think that a praise from me does mean something.
Location
Very beautiful sandy beach, not overcrowded, clean water.
In the town, there weren't many possibilities to do something or go shopping in the evening. Those who wanted lively parties and action, were wrong there. The people on island were very friendly and endeavored everywhere, but they were never annoying as in some other countries.
The bus stopped in front of the door and you could drive into every direction every hour, no matter what you wanted to do. There were many things to look at. A journey to Hania or Retynion were very recommended. You didn't need to visit the stony Samariá gorge. Better drive to the south cost. Don't eat in the harbors, especially not in Hania. They tempted with deep prices and then you paid colossal amounts of money for cover and drinks. But that was the only rip-off on the island.
You got along very well with English. They also spoke other languages in the hotel.

Beautiful little pool, no activities or other entertainment.
You had to pay for the beach chairs. That wouldn't need to be like this but a set was indeed affordable for 5 €.
Room
As mentioned, the rooms were very small but you could get bigger ones for an extra charge. They were clean and contained everything you needed.
