Hotel Panorama

The location couldn't be better! The Vaporetti landing place was 50 m away, the main promenade of the Lido began right around the corner, it was 500 m at most to the Lido beach. There were numerous shopping and entertainment possibilities. It is advisable to buy a 3-day ticket for the Vaporetto, which cost 31 Euros and could be used without limitation during this time period.

Staff was always and at every time very friendly and helpful. Room cleaning was excellent. Sometimes German was spoken, otherwise English so communication was no problem. On departure day our flight only left in the evening, we had to check out by 11 a.m. but could leave our luggage in the hotel until our departure to the airport - this wasn't self-evident in every hotel and in our eyes deserved a big plus!

Like many hotels in Venice only bookable with breakfast. Breakfast was enough and for Italian conditions even very good. There were rolls, toast, croissants filled and unfilled, small cakes, sausage, cheese, salami, ham, jam, honey, Nutella, different sorts of muesli, milk, 2 sorts of juices, different kinds of coffee (Cappuccino, Espresso, Latte Macciato, hot chocolate) and fruit (melon, kiwi, plums, peaches, apples, bananas, ...). If you didn't get full here it was your own fault. The breakfast room was small and comfortable with a view of the road and the laguna.

As previously mentioned, the room was very nicely furnished, in good taste, newly renovated. Not enough space in the wardrobe, but was manageable for 4 days. Safe, TV (however no German programs) were both present, there was also a hair dryer in the bathroom. Air conditioning system ran perfectly (very important during this travel season). Everything was cleaned and tidied up quickly and reliably. In the evening the beds were turned down and the shutters closed.

A very beautiful hotel which one can further recommend without any doubt. What disturbed and/or annoyed us somewhat, and what the hotel management should reconsider is the fact that one should pay 10 Euros per day for a sunshade and pool chair at the private beach of the hotel, even when a guest of the hotel. We didn't find that to be alright and therefore didn't make use of it; we bought cheap towels and went to the public beach instead.
