A fab base for a holiday in El Gouna
Enlarge letters A A Downsize letters A AThis our second time at this hotel and our 4th time in El Gouna. The service from the staff is the best I have experienced in Egypt.Nothing is too much trouble. Ok so the trimmings in the Hotel are a little old, but please see through that. If you need something ask and the staff will do all they can to make it happen. If you want relaxing accomodation the bungalows are fantastic. The bungalows are spacious and light and airy. We are a married couple Mr & Mrs Mir in our 40/50's and found the Hotel quite and relaxing with Downtown only a few minutes away when we wanted to go out.
Location
The location of the Hotel is one of the best in El Gouna. We love that you can choose to stay by the pool or lagoon on the Hotel site and also have the choice to take the hotel shuttle boat to Zaytoona Island. We loved Zaytoona Island, tha water was fab and the boardwalk to the reef meant you can stroll over the water. Bathroom facilities at the beach were well maintained and clean. Wind and kite surfing available at the beach for a very good price. My Husband had a couple of lessons and learnt to windsurf.. The Hotel is very close to Downtown a purpose built area with 2 town squares it's our 4th visit and still finding new places in Downtown. this time we found a lovelly coffe shop "coffee & homemade chocolates" mmm. Tuk Tuk's are around and obnly cost 5LE per journey so its easy to get around.
The staff are the best. I had a Birthday on my second visit and the staff helped my husband to arrange flowers and all sorts of treats, he couldn't have done it without them. The rooms are cleaned daily to a good standard. It was windy one day and some flower petals blew into our room. No trouble the room boys just swept them away, you oly need to ask and it is done.. Form the bell boy to the managers they are all very friendly polite and helpful. I am sure all the visitors to Panorama will have thier favourties.
Gastronomy
General Egyption style food. Always a choice of chicken, fish or beef plus others. We took our mum with us the first time and she also food the food was good.No tummy troubles from this kitchen ( not out usual experience of Egypt) There is only the one buffet style restaurant but you can always go out to dine if you get tiered of this. Dinning out is low cost and ther is lots of choice in Downtown or at the Marina.
Sport & Entertainment
The beach at Zaytoona is lovelly beach beds and umberellas readily avialable. The all inclusive lunch is light and basic but it's only 5 mins back to the hotel if you fancy something more. We did go back once or twice but on the whole stayed at the beach.
Room
The blocks are a little old but they have spacious rooms especially if you have a family. We found the Bungalows best for us and well worth the extra cost.
