Hotel Pantokrator

After a thorough search on holidaycheck we decided to go to the pantokrator to Corfu and the was a great choice. We stayed several times in Crete, Kos, Rhodes, Chalkidiki and had a comparable category have never had a better price/performance ratio. For 830 euro per person (this information is missing from most reviews) for two weeks in August with half board in a Superior room (safe, fridge, including air-conditioner) is from our point of view no cause for criticism. The service was very attentive and the drinks order has been accomplished in the twinkling. The drink prices were acceptable, particularly the house wine is highly recommended. about 100 meters from the hotel there is a supermarket, where everything necessary available at reasonable prices. The shuttle service of the hotel we didn't use and we prefer to get things moving. At noon we supplied ourselves usually itself. We were only twice in the taverns, unfortunately, almost the only guests. In the caryatides we were not satisfied with the food, Lord Byron was okay. Corfu-city did not please us so much. Cosy, traditional Greek tavernas (such as in Rethymnon Crete), we did not. We have only two short trip with the regular bus (2.20 euros per person for a one-way ticket) in the city, in order to get us the sights of the city and a few souvenirs. TRIPS we did not book, since we wanted to relax and unwind, the beach below the hotel was mostly very well managed. Even if the beach is narrow and rocky, but the crystal-clear water compensated and the view. Unfortunately, there is no shower and toilet. The cleanliness of the hotel, pool and outdoor area was very good. Tip for the staff we gave gladly. Guests mostly came from Germany, Austria and Eastern European countries. As early risers we enjoyed almost every morning and after a quiet at this time (07:30-10:30 A.M.) breakfast long summer days, of which there were only a few German. It was a beautiful holiday in a hotel with breathtaking view.
