Hotel Paradisus Varadero Resort

First a thing beforehand. You can compare a five star hotel in the Caribbean not with a five star hotel in Germany. Five star standard expected if you German, is be disappointed. For the Caribbean the five stars were absolutely OK.
The hotel area is very spacious and beautiful. the resort has many small houses (2-story), the on the area. Between palm trees everywhere, lawn, flowers etc. this size is very relaxed and I personally liked a lot better than a high-rise-complex as the blue. In the middle of the complex is a huge, bubble shaped pool integrated (with pool bar). Furthermore, it is a separate swimming pool (25m) sport, however, the renovation is. Then it is still a tennis courts, the we but not have used.
The building, in the also the reception is accommodated, is very impressive. It is to all sides open and more a large, open atrium with small ponds, palm trees, a lounge (each evening live music), bar, ... Really beautiful and very relaxed.
When we arrived we were welcomed in a very friendly, they brought us a drink, our luggage was brought on our room.
The room was very large, nicely decorated, the beds were very good, it was a safe, a mini bar, TV and a air conditioning. The room are very quiet, with music in the evening, etc. you didn't notice anything with.
The bathroom consisted of two rooms. The first room with sink, shower and toilet were in the second room. The room was clean (not clinically clean), but it smelled a little of mildew. The is but probably because of the high humidity on duration not to prevent. There we the room only to sleep used have, it was absolutely sufficient and OK.
The beach is an absolute dream. White sandy beach, the cleaned each morning is, Aqua, clear, water and palm trees. It is enough pool chairs, many palm beach umbrellas, a few hammocks, etc..
The all-inclusive offer at the resort include: breakfast (buffet in the main dining room: huge range, varied), lunch (buffet in the large dining room or buffet in the beach restaurant: less choice than in the dining room, but delicious things, directly from the grill), dinner (buffet in the main dining room or in one of the five à la carte restaurants: one wants to eat in the a la carte restaurants, you must reserve in advance), mini bar (the each day again is refilled), snack bar (24h), room service (24h), all bars and of course all drinks. The selection of drinks has me surprised, since it many brands-drinks were: Jameson whiskey, Campari, havana 7 yrs, Pernod etc.-actually everything, what a bar in this day and age range have must.
The food was not so great. We had a huge selection but tasted mostly rather disappointing. My favorite thing was the fish. Here you could choose between at least ten varieties, the then a right on the grill was freshly prepared.
The service was OK. One is served in all the restaurants, in the dining room, in the lounge and snack bar. You can drink, what you want. The service staff were mostly friendly and efficient-sometimes also slow and not so friendly, but you can imagine, as their occupancy is, if the guests to go, what they want, when everything is included in the price. In any case, we were satisfied with the service.
The animators leave you in peace. They are present only then, if you are in the entertainment programme (volleyball, dancing, etc.) want to participate.

A memory had something, that us at check-in had said, that would also the laundry service inclusive. This had then we also use it. At check-out we should have to pay for this service. One has even admitted, that the employee, the us the at check-in had said, a mistake was made. But we should still-reason: we all make mistakes. Is understandable, but you must not just pay for the mistakes of others. Only when I wanted to speak to the general manager, has cost us the adopt you. This debate was really at check-out and the positive impression has disturbed the resort. Other guests is like this, that they should pay for something, what was promised as inclusive. The Royal area recommended is also the only, I can confirm on any case. We have to talk us with guests from this area, the said, that it the additional costs does not.
